OUR MISSION
KOLEMAN STUDIO PRODUCTION mission is to educate and inspire people through entertainment. We look to share real stories from people who want to inspire others.
Our Current FILM TELEVISION SERIES:
50 Thousand is about raising awareness for Mental Health, specifically Post traumatic stress disorder, but we don’t limit ourselves to who and how we can connect with someone’s story about mental health. Inspired by a true story, 50 Thousand will help the community battle through life’s toughest challenges. They will see true authentic stories with authentic characters to relate to. 50 Thousand mission is to continue educating people on mental health awareness, the importance of therapy, and to know you are not alone on your healing journey.
Why does the project matter?
This project matters because society has adapted us to living in the dark and lying in the light. While many people may thrive on suppressing their emotions, some are taking their lives, self-sabotaging, angry, and hurting people around them. The goal of this project is to raise awareness of PTSD. Living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder feels like walking over 100ft deep sea ocean on top of an invisible rope, waiting to fall deep into the sea of depression. Many of us fall deep into the ocean. It takes social support, therapy, and intensive healing to pull ourselves back on top of the rope—the rope of purpose, growth, knowledge, creativity, inspiration, and structure. We live in a hush-hush society, where what happens in this house stays in this house. While that may work for some households, many of us who have seen traumatic events and lived in a hush-hush society have developed undiagnosed PTSD. We find ways to navigate through unexpected traumatic events in order to mentally survive. This film, 50 Thousand, is important because we are shedding light on the hush-hush society; we are giving people who live with undiagnosed PTSD a chance to open their doors to healing. An inner place where it feels safe to express how you feel without being judged, a place to open themselves to social society, and a place that feels like home.
